LZI provided Design peer review and construction administration service for building enclosure for a three level, 65,000 GSF instructional building with subterranean auditorium.  The project was delivery was design-build. LZI completed design peer review of pre-applied composite sheet waterproofing applied to a shotcrete soil retaining system, metal panel rain screen panels over AWB, thin veneer brick over an integrated air-water barrier/continuous insulation/sheathing panel, horizontal waterproofing systems at exterior balconies and PVC membrane low-slope roofing. The project featured complex architectural geometries in the exterior walls including aluminum fins that integrated with window walls and opaque rainscreen cladding, unique vertical and horizontal movement joints in the exterior wall framing and slab deflection that had to be accommodated in the exterior enclosures, and an on-site stand-alone performance and visual mock-up.  LZI supported the project during construction and provided submittal and shop drawing reviews, responses to RFIs, and progress site visit reviews.
