CHOC Southwest Tower

LZI provided building enclosure consulting services for a new 330,000 square foot nine-story tower at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County main campus with five levels of HCAI 3 facilities and four levels of clinics, offices and research areas. Exterior enclosure systems include exterior wall waterproofing, fenestration systems, sheet metal flashings, building sealants, low-slope roofing and horizontal terrace and balcony waterproofing systems. Project challenges included high performance skin of stick and unitized construction, rectilinear curtain wall along prominent building elevation, and densely populated main roof with mechanical HVAC equipment.
