Kaiser Permanente Murrieta Mapleton Medical Office Building

LZI is the building enclosure consultant for this new two-level, 80,000 square foot medical office building of type II-B construction. The façade elements include cement plaster, high-pressure compact laminate panels, and metal composite panel cladding, and curtainwall and storefront fenestration systems. The building has a low-slope, single-ply roof over tapered insulation and roof-top mechanical equipment. Unique project challenges include drift joints at window heads, continuous exterior wall insulation, and transitions between the numerous cladding types. Construction was completed in 2018.
