Elementary School Building

LZI provided building enclosure consulting services for a one-story, slab-on-grade school building with reported water intrusion issues around newly installed aluminum and glass block-framed windows in wall openings, including forensic investigation to determine the leakage source(s), development of repair, performance evaluation of mock-ups and construction administration. Project challenges included developing an investigation plan, conducting investigation water testing and developing in situ repairs with limited modification of the rainscreen metal panel finishes and perimeter flashings under a demanding construction schedule that required the building to be delivered in time for the school year.
