Stadium – Water Intrusion Investigation & Repairs

LZI provided consulting services that included performing a comprehensive water intrusion investigation at the 16,100 seat stadium constructed of cast-in place and precast concrete, circa 2000 and renovated in 2016 with the addition of concession and support spaces as well as 44 suites and luxury dining experiences. LZI executed a comprehensive water testing investigation that targeted several areas and included SEJ (seismic expansion joints), concrete filled metal pan stairs, penetrations, cladding transitions, and roll-up doors throughout the 300,000 sq. ft. facility. LZI designed repairs to improve water management and address water intrusion that primarily focused on the replacement of thousands of linear feet of horizontal SEJs. LZI supported the project during construction by providing the following: site meetings, submittal and shop drawing reviews, responses to RFIs, progress site visit reviews, quality assurance water testing, and Elcometer adhesion testing.  The project was executed in phases over several years to maintain the event schedule.
